How to Source Decorative Lighting from a China Factory

A practical sourcing guide for importers and wholesalers comparing chandeliers, pendant lights, wall lights and ceiling fans from factory suppliers.

Wholesale decorative lighting products for factory sourcing

Buying decorative lighting from a factory is different from buying finished retail products. The buyer is not only comparing a design. You are also checking whether the supplier can support stable production, packaging, voltage requirements, sample review, replacement parts and repeat orders.

For chandeliers, pendant lights and ceiling fans, start with the product structure. Confirm the main material, shade material, finish, bulb base, voltage, installation method and packaging details. These points affect cost and lead time more than many buyers expect.

MOQ is another important point. A small starting quantity can help a new buyer test the market, but final unit cost usually improves when the order reaches higher quantity tiers. When asking for a quotation, share the expected quantity, destination country, target price range and whether you need retail packaging or neutral export packaging.

For custom lighting, provide reference photos, drawings, dimensions, finish requirements and target market. If the product will be sold under your brand, also clarify label, carton, instruction manual and testing expectations before sampling.

A good RFQ is simple but complete: product link or SKU, quantity, voltage, color or finish, packaging request, destination country and expected timeline. With these details, the factory can quote faster and avoid repeated clarification emails.
